“I am very glad my wife made me go. I dislike driving in Atlanta because of the traffic and the size of the city. The hospital was a little difficult to figure out where the office was. In fairness, I am having extreme difficulty with handling stress due to withdrawals from a medicine, so I have to say that Ken did a great job recognizing that, and helped me through the appointment. Not all providers would have done that. ”

Getting to know Kenneth Lang
After my diverse experiences mentoring college students for years, designing emotional debriefs for expatriate families returning to the US, and caring for seniors in an assisted living facility, I have seen how mental health affects the entire lifespan. I have also learned to employ the power of a listening ear and an empathetic heart in each of those settings. There is a great impact that comes from feeling heard and understood. I strive for that outcome with every patient encounter. I believe truly effective patient care is tailored to each patient and involves the provider and patient making decisions together as a team.
I earned my Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Augusta University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive, compassionate care.

Ken Lang has been an excellent provider for me and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking psychiatric care.
My intake process was thorough, and I never felt that he was jumping to the obvious answer or leaving any questions unanswered. He took a conservative approach in the ramp up of my medication, and stressed the importance of a holistic approach to mental health (e.g., psychotherapy, sleep tracking, etc.) as a complement to prescriptions.
He and his office have also been very accommodating in managing a difficult prescription process due to the pharmacy on my end, so I recommend him from an administrative perspective as well.

Ken has been an excellent provider for me as I've been going through my mental health care journey. On our first meeting, Ken learned about my history very efficiently and came up with a treatment plan which he monitors closely so that we dial in the meds appropriately.
I'm comfortable speaking to Ken about what is going on in my life and my current mental health status and I feel he cares about me as a person.
I feel confident with Ken managing my treatment plan and I look forward to our regular sessions.

Ken's great. I was really excited that he checked other med interactions while still meeting with me - and he has pivoted because of what he found. He takes that very seriously. Clearly presents multiple options too instead of just one. Feels like he is deeply invested. Really nice guy and very good at what he does.
