Getting to know Kerene Phillips-Ross
Hi, I’m Kerene Phillips-Ross, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized mental health care. I believe that every patient deserves to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment.
I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, OCD, and other mental health concerns.
Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I spent more than ten years working as a psychiatric registered nurse. That experience shaped my approach to care and taught me the importance of looking beyond symptoms to understand the whole person.
My approach is collaborative, supportive, and evidence-based. During our visits, we’ll discuss your symptoms, concerns, medical and psychiatric history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. When medication is appropriate, I’ll explain your options and work with you to develop a treatment plan that feels comfortable and manageable.
Seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re meeting a new provider. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you can speak openly and feel supported as we work toward lasting mental wellness together.

Dr. Ross has been such a kind and steady source of support for me. She creates a space where I feel safe being completely honest and vulnerable, without ever feeling judged. She listens with compassion, offers thoughtful guidance, and somehow always helps me see things a little more clearly when I’m struggling.

I left feeling encouraged and much more confident about moving forward with treatment. The entire experience at Cornerstone Mental Health was professional, organized, and welcoming.
