Layne is incredible. She’s the only mental health professional (out of many) that I’ve felt truly listens to me and trusts me. Other mental health professionals constantly made me feel like I was exaggerating my experiences or that since I was a minor, I was naïve and couldn’t understand myself. Layne, however, always talked to me like I was an adult instead of some kid who had no clue what was going on in their head. When everyone else took my mom’s word of me being an angsty teen, Layne saw straight through that façade and actually listened to me.

Layne Hartnell is AMAZING! I was seen right away. Layne listened to my concerns, addressed me with care, and offered solutions to my problems. I feel seen, heard, and valued with every decision at every appointment! The journey to finding the right medication and the correct dosage has taken time. However, Layne has been so knowledgeable, supportive, patient, and encouraging throughout the entire journey. I’m grateful I found her on Zocdoc and look forward to continuing treatment with her.

Layne Hartnell is the first psych provider that I’ve seen in over 20 year that I fully trust and leave my appt feeling hopeful. She is so patient, kind, understanding, and always listens so throughly. She never makes me feel crazy and actually it’s the complete opposite. I can tell her anything, and it’s always a safe space with her. She is so positive and encouraging as well. She really takes your personal needs into consideration in her plan for treatment. She’s an absolute blessing for me to have found, and I cannot say enough great things about her. Because of her and the trust she built with me, I am willing to do things that I have never been willing to do before if she feels it will help me. She is amazing!

From the beginning several months ago she is kind, compassionate, understanding and supportive. She takes the time and listens to what I say without judgment.

Dr. Layne has been an incredible psychiatrist for my daughter, and our family is truly grateful for her care. She is consistently patient, even during difficult moments, and never makes us feel rushed or unheard. Her caring nature shows in every interaction, and it’s clear she genuinely wants the best for her patients. She listens attentively, taking the time to understand not just symptoms but the whole child. Her understanding and compassion have made a tremendous difference in my daughter’s mental health journey. What stands out most is how fiercely she advocates for my child, ensuring she receives the support, resources, and treatments she needs. I never feel rushed or dismissed — Layne respects that I know my own body and mind, and she genuinely values my input. I always feel comfortable being honest with her and have never felt judged. She’s warm, highly knowledgeable, and deeply committed to helping her patients find what works best for them. I met with Layne Hartnell for my appointment and cant say enough about how much help she has been. She was thorough but pointed and helped ensure all my needs were taken care of. Our follow ups since my appt. have been prompt and overall fantastic, a rare find in the industry today. Very quick to answer questions and help with any prescription issues. Highly recommend her!!
