Prior to his advanced practice role, Kevin worked in many roles in the mental health field including mental health associate, admission’s coordinator, crisis intervention specialist, psychiatric nurse in both the inpatient and outpatient settings prior to becoming a nurse practitioner. It is here where he honed his skills in de-escalation, crisis intervention, and building therapeutic rapport. This background fuels his passion for creating an individualized, whole-person care experience for every client. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, 3 sons, daughter-in-law and grandson. He enjoys music, sports, Disney parks and traveling.

Kevin utilizes an evidence-based practice when managing your mental health needs. Evidence-based practice is rooted in best practices to ensure effective and safe treatment. Kevin uses his years of experience in developing a treatment plan that best suits your needs and wishes. Kevin believes patient involvement in their care provides the best outcome.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

All new patients are seen for approximately 60 minutes during their first session. During this time, a complete psychiatric and medical history are obtained. Follow-up visits are 30 minutes in length and occur based on need but are typically every month to three months. Use of controlled substances are determined on an individual basis. Medications prescribed by previous providers are also determined on an individual basis.
