I’m originally from Somalia but have lived in the United States most of my life. I worked at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a patient care technician while earning my Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Otterbein University, and then worked as a registered nurse at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and cared for acute brain and spinal cord injury patients. I moved to Rochester in April of 2019. I love working with women and helping care for women in every aspect of health. I’m a strong believer in helping women become advocates for their health. I’m passionate about missionary work and love to help underserved communities. I traveled to Honduras for missionary trips during my graduate midwifery studies and helped care for women in need of healthcare services including gynecological care.
