About Dr. Kharia Holmes

Hi! I'm Dr. Kharia J. Holmes: physician, author, friend, and most importantly, a proud mother. Originally from Houston, Texas, I now call the DMV home, making me a #SouthernGirlTurnedNorth. I live in a multigenerational household and am raising an amazing young child who keeps me on my toes (and sometimes in the air!). As a primary care physician, I believe in helping people take a proactive role in their health. My goal is to empower patients with knowledge, encourage meaningful conversations with their providers, and promote overall well-being. Like many, I'm still figuring out how to balance my personal life, passions, and career. I strive for perfection but have learned that progress and a little grace matters more.
