What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and encouraging place to help uplift and motivate clients toward self-efficacy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me starts by discussing your current concerns and any recent changes in your mental health. We'll talk about your mood, thoughts, behaviors, and any symptoms you're experiencing to get a clear picture of your overall mental state and specific issues you might be facing. I’ll ask detailed questions about your symptoms, including your medical history, since certain medical conditions can sometimes mimic mental health issues. I also consider your personal background. To aid in diagnosis, I use tools such as the PHQ-9 to assess the severity of depression, the GAD-7 for anxiety, and the MDQ for mood disorders. Additionally, the Adult Self-Assessment Questionnaire helps screen for ADHD. While medication management is a part of my practice, I also use other therapeutic approaches such as talk therapy, motivational therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). These methods help you explore your thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and address any underlying issues affecting your mental health. My approach is tailored to your individual needs and preferences, and together we’ll create a treatment plan aimed at supporting your well-being and enhancing your mental stability.
