Dr. Majmundar earned her medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine and refined her expertise during a psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan, New York, where she also served as Chief Resident.
In addition to her work in private practice, she previously held the roles of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Associate Director of the Psychiatric Emergency Room at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She also worked on a Dual Diagnosis Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at the Mount Sinai Behavioral Health Center, gaining extensive experience in treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Dr. Majmundar provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and sees patients for both medication management and psychotherapy.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Dr. Majmundar believes in the power of transparency and education. Her mission is to empower patients with knowledge, helping them better understand their conditions and treatment options.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Initial sessions are 60 minutes and includes a comprehensive discussion of your symptoms, as well as a review of your psychiatric, medical, and social history.
Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes for medication only and 45 minutes for sessions with psychotherapy.
Please note, for controlled medication prescriptions, in-person evaluation is required.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $550 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $350-450 for 45 minutes

I have been seeing Dr. M for over a year now. She has made me feel comfortable from day one. She is extremely knowledgeable and answers all questions in an extremely timely matter. She has been very supportive and encouraging through my time with her and I am happy to say that with her help, I am in a MUCH better place than I was a year ago.

She’s able to recall the specifics of prior conversations and connect them to prospective treatment options. She’s adept at answering questions and helping her patients weigh treatment options.
