About Kiley Cook
Kiley Cook is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been happily caring for patients at Castle Hills Family Practice since March of 2022. She is passionate about building trusting relationships with her patients to help them live healthier, happier lives both in the long and short term. With a patient-centered philosophy, she believes in treating the whole person with an empathetic and collaborative approach, emphasizing education and disease prevention.
Kiley received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2018 and gained experience in various hospital settings, including the Intensive Care Unit. She then earned her master's degree in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2022.
When not in clinic, Kiley enjoys spending time outdoors camping and hiking with her husband and three dogs.

I had an appointment and I have uploaded my insurance card prior to the appointment. It had no issues when i uploaded. When i reached the clinic the cashier has told me there is some issue with my insurance. But when i contacted my insurance they told me it was active. Then I was ready to pay from my own pocket but they claimed that my timing slot is crossed so they wouldn't be able to see me. Overall it was the worst experience.

My appointment was great, Kiley was extremely helpful. We discussed what I was looking for and they were able to easily switch what we were planning on doing. From when I checked in I waited maybe 5 minutes, it was so fast I barely had time to complete my new patient forms but I prefer it being quick vs having to sit at wait for a long time. I would absolutely recommend Kiley and this family practice to friends and family.

I was recommended to see NP Cook by my family. She’s one of the first doctors to actually listen to what I think and hear me out on my experiences. I truly appreciate her for that. Growing up, I experienced bad doctors who have rude attitudes and who’s heart is not committed to making their patients feel heard. This by far was my number 1 best experience in my life with a health professional. Dr. Cook made me feel safe the minute she stepped in and introduced herself. She made me feel cared about, she made my life feel important. Thank you for being such a humble and caring doctor. The office as a whole was a well oiled machine, NP Cook was so lovely. She listened to my concerns, she made me feel heard and like we were a team. Her MA or LVN was great, she gave me an injection and I didn’t feel a thing, the phlebotomist was also amazing, they had such a soft and caring touch. My first impression was a great one!

I was called on the day of my appointment and informed that I would not be able to see an OB, but a nurse practitioner instead. I kept the appt and was very happy with the care I received. She was professional and kind and answered all of my questions. I would recommend her.

Mid-size people - beware! This office is toxic to midsize bodies. What I went in for wasn’t addressed, and I was told that I should “diet and exercise more” after following a strict workout schedule and diet for 8 months and seeing no improvement + having chronic fatigue, mood swings and low libido. Ms. Cook called me in to discuss lab results only to tell me again to keep dieting and exercising and not paying attention to the issues at hand. Could have discussed that over the phone instead of waiting an hour to discuss it, but of course I assume I was called in so they could collect my copay. Staff are rude and cold upon greeting and nurses have poor bedside manner. If you’re going for any reason besides a sniffle, go somewhere else. Toxic diet culture will be practically shoved down your throat instead of being listened to. They still are using BMI to label you as a “healthy weight” or not. Go elsewhere. I won’t be back in 6 months.

My provider was excellent however I take significant issue with some of the policies set in place by the head physician. Namely his treatment of patients who test positive for CBD or THC (both of which can be legally obtained from nearly any block in San Antonio). I think this policy is regressive and ultimately a waste of everyone’s time, especially seeing as how it is applied indiscriminately regardless of situational nuance. I will not be returning, which is a shame because my NP was kind. But these practices do not support the autonomy or best interest of patients and ultimately that should be your primary objective.

I got to the office 15 mins before my appt as a new patient and immediately was called back to begin session. I was still filling out paperwork but that did not matter. My NP was amazing and went above and beyond!! Def recommend anyone who is looking for a family practice, to start here!!!
