About Dr. Kimberly Furtado
Dr. Kim Furtado, N.D., partners with clients to resolve chronic health concerns through intuition-based and result-oriented healthcare.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Furtado has been in practice since 2001 and has extensive experience in all naturopathic modalities, including nutrition, stress management, supplements, botanical medicine, environmental medicine, and lifestyle medicine. She focuses on treating root causes to help you optimize and regain vibrant health and balance.
An expert in herbal medicine, nutrition, detoxification, and hormone balancing, Dr. Furtado is also a mother of five daughters and three grandchildren, a school garden program coordinator, and an advocate for the environment. She brings this diverse experience to each patient and student.
Her special interests include herbal medicine, nutrition, environmental medicine, chronic illness, and women’s and children’s health.
Dr. Furtado earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, and holds a Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Biology from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), a founding director and garden coordinator for the SNAC Garden Foundation, and an executive board member for the National Association of Environmental Medicine.
Dr. Furtado views healing as an active journey she is honored to travel with each person. She is dedicated to the principles of naturopathic medicine and the understanding that all medicine begins with prevention.
She creates customized plans tailored to your specific goals, needs, and preferences. I love working with Kim Furtado! Naturopathic medicine has come to the rescue as I am in my 50’s and my body started telling me to stop and take notice. Kim looks at the whole person to see where issues are stemming from, and she recommends natural means to produce results that help you heal. If it were not for her, I would be on pharmaceutical meds for various issues from high cholesterol, body rashes, body aches, etc. Kim works with you and gets to know “you” as a person so she can prescribe the best natural care to heal the body from the inside out. My husband and I both see Dr. Kim and have found her insight to be invaluable!!

Dr. Kim is kind caring practitioner who takes her time with her patients to understand their entire situation. She is holistic in her approach to health and wellness. Each one of our family of four has seen Dr. Kim at various times. Each time she helped us to return to a better state of health.
She cured our son of his asthma when he was 10 years old and by cured I mean he was taking a daily inhaled steroid with a long acting rescue medicine and after working with Dr Kim he has never had to go back on that.
I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an alternative and/or a complement to allopathic medicine.

I have worked with Dr. Kim for a few years. I became frustrated with the traditional paths of medicine which motivated me to research better healthier options. The importance of addressing the roots of any disease or condition instead of masking the symptoms and working with a provider who believed and supported the body’s innate ability to heal and find balance became my goal as I realized the significance of a holistic approach to health. This realization and desire to partner with a naturopathic provider led me to Dr. Kim.
Dr. Kim is a kind, compassionate and engaging provider who creates a collaborative space for and approach to achieving optimal health. Dr. Kim promotes an environment of exploration and learning while exercising curiosity about the unique needs of your health. I feel my health is a priority and cared about as a person being a patient of Dr. Kim.

I've been seeing Kim for years and she's truly amazing. I had been struggling with unknown health issues for years and she was able to find the root cause of them. Things other doctors never even looked at! I particularly like that she focuses on getting your body to function optimally again instead of just treating the symptoms. I highly recommend her!!
