Kimberly Lindberg, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
VA
Hi! I'm Kimberly. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2015. When I first attended an introduction class with a friend my freshman year of college, I knew I wanted to be come an SLP. I knew I was more science minded (started as a biology major) but was really motivated by helping others. When I attend this class and learned more about the field, and all it had to offer, I instantly knew it was perfect for me. I always had a strong desire to help others and knowing in this career I had the potential to impact the lives of children and adults alike was very intriguing to me. Speech pathology is an ever-changing profession that is exciting and new everyday as our field continues to grows more and more. There are endless learning opportunities which makes me excited everyday I come to work! I have worked in outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation and acute care. I have certifications and trainings in the following: McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP), Vital Stim, Ampcare, LSVT LOUD and MBSImp. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
