About Dr. Kira Fenton
Kira Fenton, DO, is a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine and bariatric medicine. Offering over 11 years of experience, Dr. Fenton currently treats the community of Fort Lauderdale and its surrounding South Florida neighborhoods at Prestige Physicians. In addition to her clinical work, she instructs internal medicine residents at Broward Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
After graduating from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2003, Dr. Fenton earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Broward General Medical Center. She has since become board-certified in both internal medicine and bariatric medicine and is a certified Botox® provider.
Dr. Fenton's strong interest in bariatric and obesity medicine stems from the correlation between weight and chronic diseases like sleep apnea, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, joint pain, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hyperlipidemia, and more. Treating and preventing obesity in her patients helps improve their overall health and sense of well-being, which is why Dr. Fenton has dedicated much of her life's work to weight management.

it was surreal. I came in because I had a sinus infection but I had also injured my back but they were so afraid I had covid they almost refused to see me I had a negative test the week before. the doctor sat 6 ft away from me and cross the room, she did not examine me to not examine my ears did not listen to my chest just asked me questions with a mask on and then when I advised her that I was hearing impaired/deaf she still kept her mask on. it was the most unsatisfying and disturbing a visit I have over had in my life never have I had a physician so afraid of catching something.. everyone says it's the times we live in but I have to disagree sad State of affairs if this is what medicine has come to. she did my prescriptions for physical therapy and in antibiotic but that was it the front desk was awesome. the visit just seemed like something out of The Twilight zone

Super friendly staff and doctors, great listeners. My first visit and I felt like they really wanted to get my full history without making me feel like I was undergoing an interrogation. Lol! Everyone was personable and pleasant. All in all, an awesome first visit. I think I chose the right place. Thank you!!

Dr. Fenton was over an HOUR late for my appointment. If she had apologized or offered to reschedule me, I would have understood. But she didn't. Totally unacceptable. When I finally told her my problem she dismissed it, so now I still have a health problem, and I need to find a new doctor who will listen to me. And all this was after I was pestered with dozens of "reminder" emails, texts and phone calls, about being on time for my appointment. I will not come back to this office.

I’ve seen Dr Fenton before and came to her even though my insurance isn’t accepted at her office. She is such a good listener and really makes an effort to address my needs. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and very knowledgeable doctor.
