In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
It is important to encourage patients to take an active role in their health. We should merge physical and behavioral health and be a champion of wellness for the whole patient.
What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my patients thrive. Serving others and advocating for wellness is where my passion lies. I truly enjoy connecting with each patient and learning more about their lives so that I can provide the best care possible.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending my time outdoors; primarily snowboarding, boating, and sailing. I love traveling with my husband and our daughter. I’m a bit of a foodie and love to explore new cuisines.

This was an easy appointment to make and I needed testing ordered. My doctor that I waited 10 weeks to get in with came down sick the day before so my appointment was rescheduled... for another 7 weeks! Kirsten was attentive and a good communicator. She was calm, friendly and professional and ordered some testing to get me started on the path to knowing what this health issue I'm dealing with is. I would definitely recommend making an appopintment with her.

I just had an appointment with Dr. Patterson, and it was a great experience. She took the time to listen to my concerns and didn’t rush through the appointment. She really seemed to care about my overall well-being. I appreciated how she explained things clearly and answered all my questions. Dr. Patterson also offered some helpful advice on maintaining a healthy hip. Overall, I felt supported and informed, which made the visit worth it.

I've had some horrible experiences in the past, but I actually felt heard this time. I was almost in tears after the appointment because I wasn't just referred to psych for my myriad of seemingly disconnected symptoms and she didn't just throw medication my way like previous doctors have.

I'm very new on my health journey, I don't have a whole lot of experiences to relate this one too. I do know, that I felt very respected and listened to! She was a very clear communicator, and was very comfortable to talk to! She gave me lots of advice, and immediately worked toward solving some of the issues with my health that I brought up. So I will definitely be keeping her as my PCP!
