Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
OR
I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I did my own work first. After years in a career that looked fine from the outside and felt hollow on the inside, I finally started understanding my own brain, my own patterns, my own history — and something clicked. This is what I was supposed to be doing. I live with ADHD and ASD myself, and I'll be direct: it makes me better at this. I'm wired to hold the fine details and the big picture simultaneously, connect patterns across a history, and bring you into that thinking every step of the way. You'll always know what I'm seeing, what I'm weighing, and why. My approach is integrative and functional — meaning I'm asking why before what. What's happening in your body, your nervous system, your history, your environment? Medication can be a meaningful part of the picture, but it's one tool, not the whole plan. I also incorporate nutritional and lifestyle strategies, nervous system regulation, and trauma-focused therapy grounded in the Trauma Resiliency Model. I'm currently completing the Psychiatry Redefined Integrative Psychiatry Fellowship, which keeps my practice at the leading edge of where the science is actually going. And as a newer provider, I'll say plainly: I was trained on current models, I consult actively with mentors on complex cases, and I'll always tell you when it's time to pivot. I work especially well with children and adolescents (ages 6+), perinatal and antepartum folks, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people who are AFAB or identify as women. Many of my patients are navigating ADHD, autism, PTSD, PMDD, OCD, mood disorders, or a diagnosis they're not sure actually fits — including bipolar or borderline presentations that may have been misread. If you've felt like previous providers didn't quite get the full picture of you, that's exactly the gap I'm here to close.
