Originally from Akron, Ohio, Korinne is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner currently completing a Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at Columbia University. This is my second time seeing someone about starting medication. The first time the doctor was so judgmental and standoffish that I never took the meds. Korinne Edwards was completely different. She answered all my questions and was very supportive. She listened to everything I had to say, she did not push me to make any quick decisions without all the information. She was very kind and helpful, it actually felt like we were a team working on my mental health together!

Dr. Edwards seemed very uninterested in my case. She did not try to build rapport with me. She just seemed like she was trying to meet a patient quota. Additionally, the office tried to charge me a late fee for showing up to an appointment late when they provided me with incorrect appointment time. There was no apology from her or her staff either for this unprofessionalism.

It was a virtual visit, but she was so kind and really knew her stuff! She actually listened to what I had to say and even asked if there were any spiritual/cultural guidelines that she needed to keep in mind. She explained everything clearly and wasn’t condescending at all. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

I have bounced around from psych to psych who have all diagnosed me differently on the first visit and prescribed me meds on spot. Dr. Edwards sensed my hesitation as well as the complexity of my diagnosis and suggested formal testing before offering a solution. She's very attuned to what's not being said and seems to alter treatment based on the niche needs of her clients. She has an innate awareness and is a great listener. She also explains verrrry well. 10/10 would recommend.
