“Krishna was so helpful! I've been struggling with acid reflux this past year, so she was able to send me a list of foods that I should eat and to avoid. I also have a better understanding on how to portion my food based on vegetables, protein, and carboydrates. I feel more confident that I can better tackle my eat habits to be healthier and more intuitive. Thank you!”

“My relationship with food has TRANSFORMED. in a profound core way. The tools that Krishna brought to me helped me open My mind and heart around food. Bringing my awareness back to my body and its feeling and not what my brain SAYS about my body/food has been deeply healing. Krishna has a warmth and lack of judgement combined with an understanding of her material that made it easy to trust her when I felt vulnerable.”

About Krishna Dholakia

Attaining good health is important, but so is feeling connected to the food you eat and your daily self-care. Through my personal and professional experience in health and wellness, I have found there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to feeling well and balanced. Everything about you, from your body to your worldview, is unique. This work of connecting to your food and self-care is a personal journey and must be self-curated. I guide individuals into a more self-connected version of themselves by listening deeply to each client’s needs, motivations, and desires. I hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from Long Island University, and a Master’s in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University, Teachers College. As a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist with 15 years’ experience, I assist clients seeking guidance on using food to improve and manage diagnoses such as diabetes, heart disease, IBS-D, and autoimmune conditions like celiac disease and rheumatoid arthritis. I am also a 500+ hour certified yoga teacher and a qualified MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) teacher. My counseling approach integrates intuitive and mindful eating, nutrition therapy, yoga, and meditation. This integrative approach provides tools that are effective in making long-lasting behavior changes related to food, stress, and physical activity. Along with individual counseling, I offer group series focused on intuitive and mindful eating—a great way to support and be supported by others on a similar self-care journey. You’ll enjoy working with me if: • You have tried restrictive eating and diets and want a healthier relationship with food • You want a structured integrative approach to nutrition therapy, healing, and self-care encompassing multiple aspects of your life • You want a non-judgmental and compassionate provider • You want a trauma-conscious provider who understands the BIPOC perspective

My relationship with food has TRANSFORMED. in a profound core way. The tools that Krishna brought to me helped me open My mind and heart around food. Krishna has a warmth and lack of judgement combined with an understanding of her material that made it easy to trust her when I felt vulnerable.
I had a couple of sessions with Krishna regarding my digestive issues. I found her to be very knowledgable and a good listener. Her suggestions really helped me. I also took a yoga for digestion workshop w/ Krishna. She teaches in a way that is supportive and fosters a non-competetive environment, which I found helpful for my practice and learning. It was great the way she combined her knowledge as a dietitian in to the yoga practice. She is a very caring counselor.
The session was incredibly helpful! I was impressed by the way Krishna included so many parts of life into the nutrition consultation. It's all related, and I am excited about making some changes instead of dreading them. Highly recommend!
Krishna is a really caring and dedicated nutritionist. By working with her I have lost more than 40 pounds and feel great-never deprived. She totally changed my eating habits so now I crave vegetables not sweets. Amazing! She is also a great yoga instructor & due to her guidance I have kept my weight down & improved my health, I highly recommend her!
Krishna provided a safe and open space to explore all matters related to my relationship with my habits and my food choices. The tools introduced and taught by Krishna helped me redefine my relationship with food and I am a healthier person for it. I highly recommend her!!!
