About Dr. Krista Hodne
I am accepting NEW PATIENTS into my Direct Primary Care Membership program. I am out of network with all insurance companies. After your initial visit, when you choose to continue at our clinic through the Direct Primary Care Membership, the first month is waived. You do NOT need insurance to join our membership, and there are no additional visit fees or hidden costs.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin and completed my residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Michigan. I pursued board certification in both pediatrics and internal (adult) medicine because I enjoy seeing patients from newborns to the elderly. I love watching my pediatric patients grow and develop, and part of my job is to encourage and empower their parents. I also get excited about the opportunity to care for entire families. My candid, supportive style lends itself particularly well to managing wellness care and chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma.
Please note that Direct Primary Care (DPC) is not insurance. We recommend that everyone maintain at least catastrophic insurance or HealthShare coverage to address any medical needs that may arise outside of primary care.

Unfortunately, I felt that my physician was condescending, judgmental, and even a little rude. If she did not intend to be this way, which I am sure is the case, then I feel compelled to say that her bedside manner needs improvement. I came in for a very simple check-up appointment, which I understand to an experienced health care provider is fairly mundane, but I just wanted to let it be known that I left feeling down and really bad about myself. You never know what is going on in a person's life. Yes, there were a few things about my health I needed to improve, and that is why I made this appointment to begin with. I had the option to receive a few routine adult vaccinations I was not up to date on, which I would have most likely agreed to receiving at my appointment because I was aiming to be more proactive in my health. After being made to feel pretty guilty about it, I chose to defer to a later time/different environment because I was feeling really uncomfortable at that point. Overall, I regretted being honest about myself in my paperwork because I felt that this led to unfair judgments about me as a patient. I had high hopes for establishing my primary care with this practice, but I was really disappointed and will not be returning.

Dr. Hodne was very attentive. I have had bad experiences with doctors who seem to be in a rush. Dr. Hodne was not like that at all. She seems to give every patient their time. I am really happy with my visit!
