The ability to care for and connect with patients in their most vulnerable state makes me passionate about being a healthcare provider. It is inspiring to work with patients to create a plan to manage their health concerns that is specific to their needs and to see the patient succeed in meeting positive health outcomes.
The role of a primary care provider is to create a partnership with the patient to obtain a comprehensive, holistic assessment that collects both physical and behavioral health information. Through this assessment, the primary care provider and the patient can create an individualized, evidence-based care plan to help the patient achieve the best possible outcome.
I hold a PhD in Nursing Education and Healthcare Administration from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, which informs my approach to patient care and education.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my four children. We love being outdoors, traveling to and cheering at sporting events, or playing board games. When not with my children, I enjoy creating things with my hands through home projects, woodworking, and gardening.
