“I want to say that the nurse that initially helped me was super nice!! He was very gentle & had a great sense of humor. It was my first time being there. They did an ekg to check my liver, kidneys, & thyroid and blood work to check my white & red blood cell count as well as my vitamin D levels.
Then I met with Dr. Nastro. I like to say that I can get a good read on almost anyone & Dr. Nastro definitely has a warm caring demeanor about her. She was very empathetic about what I was telling her. If I would've known about how great of a physciatrist she was, I would've came a long time ago. I just had bad experiences with therapists when I was about 15/16 yrs old, I'm now 35; I'm so glad that I got a great doctor to help me with my mental health. I definitely will be coming back!! 10/10 experience overall. ”

Krista A. Nastro, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a comprehensive background in both general and psychiatric nursing. She began her nursing career in 1996, gaining experience across various medical specialties. There were certain factors that would explain the state of mind I am in now. I stated that I had already been mistreated because the doctors had not listened before.
Once I mentioned something, the doctor was not able to break their thinking and stuck on that factor.
I am interested in helping the root cause and not symptoms. Being excited, frustrated and having other emotions within a conversation when you aren't being heard are a natural occurrence, especially if you just came out of the situation of not being heard.
I'm also a person that doesn't like meds because the only ones that work are the strongest, because my body is resistant, and I'm allergic to everything else on the market.
I will not be going to this doctor again, because hearing the patients needs and CONTEXT to everything that is going on leads to a better result and a better patient understanding and care.
Because if having listened to what went on I think would have resulted in a better outcome.
