About Krista Salinas
Hi! I’m Krista, a speech-language pathologist who loves helping children grow their communication skills in ways that feel meaningful and empowering for them and their families. I work with children across a wide range of needs, including feeding and swallowing, articulation, phonology, early language development, and functional communication. I also incorporate sensory-informed strategies and behavior supports to help children feel regulated, engaged, and successful during therapy.
I have specialized training in pediatric feeding, including the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, and support children with oral aversion, sensory sensitivities, limited food repertoires, and delayed feeding milestones. Alongside feeding therapy, I enjoy helping children strengthen their speech clarity, build language skills, and develop more confident, functional communication for everyday situations.
My approach is play-based, individualized, and family-centered. I value collaboration with caregivers and other providers to ensure skills carry over into daily routines. Above all, I strive to create a supportive and positive environment where children feel understood, capable, and proud of their progress.
