What should a new client know about working with you?

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my goal is to create a safe and collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. From our first meeting, I want you to know what to expect from working with me: Transparency in treatment planning: I’ll clearly explain your diagnosis, discuss all available treatment options, and involve you in every decision. We’ll work together to find the right path for your goals and preferences. Respect for your lived experience: I believe your story matters. I approach care with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the resilience you bring into the room. Access to consistent follow-up care: Mental health treatment is a process—not a one-time conversation. I offer structured, regular follow-ups so we can assess progress, adjust plans when needed, and ensure continuity. A commitment to using science-backed approaches: My treatment recommendations are grounded in the latest clinical evidence and best practices. Whether we explore medication, lifestyle changes, or other supports, I focus on interventions proven to help. My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. I value honesty, shared decision-making, and building trust over time. You don’t have to navigate this alone—I'm here to walk with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At Greater Boston Psychiatric Services, we begin with a comprehensive psychiatric assessment to fully understand each client’s psychological, emotional, and functional needs. This evaluation includes a detailed clinical interview, review of medical and psychiatric history, standardized screening tools when appropriate, and collaboration with other healthcare providers if needed. Based on this assessment, we formulate a working diagnosis and discuss evidence-based treatment options. When clinically indicated, we may recommend psychotropic medications that align with current research and clinical guidelines for the identified condition. We prioritize shared decision-making, ensuring that clients are informed and involved in each step of their care plan. Our approach is integrative, personalized, and grounded in the latest evidence to support long-term mental wellness.

More information on payments and coverage

We want your care experience to be as smooth and stress-free as possible—including how we handle billing and insurance. We submit claims on your behalf. You don’t have to worry about paperwork. We submit a superbill directly to your insurance and work with them behind the scenes. You are only responsible for your portion. This includes any co-pays, coinsurance, or unmet deductibles, based on the terms of your plan. We do not balance bill. That means you’ll never be charged beyond the rates your insurance company has approved. We strictly adhere to those contracted amounts. We only reach out to you when necessary. If your insurance company requires additional information or collaboration, we’ll guide you through it and help however we can. Our goal is to minimize your administrative burden so you can focus on your care. If you ever have questions about coverage, costs, or need help navigating insurance, we're here to support you.
