I have been a registered dietitian nutritionist since 2010. Throughout my career I have worked in several large hospital systems in NYC and Long Island, taking care of patients from birth through adulthood. During this time, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and was also introduced into the world of research. I received my Masters in Nutrition from Columbia University and completed my Undergraduate degree and Internship through LI University, C.W.Post. Having had such a diverse background in patient populations, I have experience working with diagnoses including chronic diseases (such as pre-diabetes and diabetes), cardiovascular disease, obesity, fatty liver, and metabolic syndrome, all of which greatly benefit from a healthful dietary changes. I worked one-on-one with patients who were trying to get pregnant, those who needed to optimize their health during pregnancy and throughout lactation. Most recently, I worked in a pediatric clinic for children undergoing transplants who were experiencing failure to thrive and malnutrition, as well those with pediatric obesity. In 2021 I became a certified lactation consultant because in order to fully support my patients who were being breastfed, I knew I had to be able to support their parents as well. This certification actually came in very handy when I had a baby of my own and found breastfeeding to be a lot harder than I was expecting! I can proudly say that over the years I have helped caregivers feel confident making healthful choices not only their children and families, but also for themselves. Regardless of why you want to work with me, rest assured that I strive to keep upto date with the latest scientific data regarding nutrition, so that I can explain why certain recommendations are made in the first place.
