Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Have you ever struggled to find a provider you truly connected with? I think we have all been there… too often! It is incredibly difficult to be seen for a medical appointment if you don’t have trust with your provider, but this is a million times harder if you just don’t mesh well with your mental health provider! My job is to ensure that you feel comfortable with me as quickly as possible so that we can work together to discover the most successful ways in treating whatever may be troubling you and sustaining this over time. My Focus: I strongly feel that quality care comes from developing a well-rounded treatment plan, both with long and short term goals, and that medications are just one piece of that. I am also a big believer that you will only get out what you put into this, but promise I will be here to help you along your path... whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, age-related concerns, identity issues, unwanted habits, inattentiveness or any other mental health issues! Nothing is too small or too large to at least inquire about. Telepsych Limitations: Treatment of mental health over video since COVID has been fabulous, but has its challenges. Video appointments have provided access to many who have not had care in the past (rural areas without a mental health provider), made visits with a provider much more flexible (can have quick appointments before or during work breaks, from your car, etc.) yet added challenges of not being able to see clients in person—face to face, fewer resources—many providers working from home, not having access to the same urgent services we once did when working in a clinic and due to this, there are limitations to what I feel I can safely treat over telepsych. So at this time, the following are my general guidelines for what I feel I cannot safely treat over video and may be best managed with an in-person provider.
