About Dr. Kristina Karlic
Kristina Karlic is board certified in foot and reconstructive rear foot/ankle by the American College of foot and ankle surgeons as a podiatric surgeon with extensive training in both reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot surgery, and limb salvage in the diabetic foot. An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Karlic is empathetic to the needs of the elite athlete and is exceedingly competent in sports medicine.
Dr. Karlic earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University in 2002. She then received her doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2007, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. Afterwards, Dr. Karlic completed her three-year surgical residency training at the renowned Northwell Health System (formerly North Shore-LIJ), where she was chief resident.
Podiatric education has always been very important to Dr. Karlic. She was Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan for 7 years, where she extensively trained both students and residents in all aspects of surgical principles and practical applications. During her time as professor, she was honored with the Attending of the Year award on multiple occasions. Additionally, she lectured to groups of doctors and students to propel the future of podiatric medicine and surgery.

Courteous staff. Very brief wait time (less than 5 minutes). Dr. Karlic listened to everything that I had to say regarding my pain (as a new patient, there were no records to review) and together we came up with a treatment plan that I am on board with.

I sustained an ankle injury while training for a marathon and saw Dr. Karlic based on the recommendation of a friend. I couldn’t be more impressed with the care I received. Dr. Karlic was thorough, knowledgeable, and clearly explained my injury, treatment options and a recovery plan that worked for me, my training and my home/work life.
The entire staff was excellent—warm, professional, and incredibly personable from the moment I walked in. From the front desk to the medical assistants, everyone made the experience smooth as copied be. Highly recommend
