Philosophy of Care I want the children and families in my care to lead healthy lives by providing them with the tools necessary to do so. As a nurse practitioner, I believe education for families and children is the key to achieving a healthy lifestyle. I provide guidance on sleeping, eating, hygiene, and exercise habits to prevent diseases and promote wellness. I also emphasize safety education, particularly car seat safety. I would never recommend a treatment or provide guidance for your child and family that I wouldn't recommend for my own. Why I Entered Medicine Growing up, I was always interested in working with and caring for children. During my senior year of high school, I took anatomy and physiology and discovered my love for the intricacies of the human body. I realized I could blend these interests by becoming a nurse. I knew pediatrics was my calling and began my career in the neonatal intensive care unit, then worked across pediatric units as I decided to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Cedar Crest College and completed my Master’s in Pediatric Primary Care Nursing at Drexel University. I also hold a Certificate in Complementary and Integrative Therapies from Drexel University. Now, I get to work with children and their families and share in their growth. Community Involvement In the community, I participate in car seat check events and am very active in my children’s activities. Personal Interests We are huge fans of Disney and enjoy trips to Disney World. We also love traveling and exploring new places, especially different beaches. Personally, I enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, and baking. I love doing arts and crafts with my children, and we also enjoy cooking and baking together. We stay active outdoors by practicing soccer, dancing, walking our dog, and running.
