Kwame Amin is a nationally certified Physician Assistant/Associate (PA) licensed in New York and New Jersey. He earned his PA degree from the City University of New York (CUNY) York college in 2012. He later went on to earn his Masters of Business of Administration (MBA) in Strategic Health Care Management from Hofstra University, followed by a Doctor of Medical Science Degree (DMSc) in Behavioral Medicine from the University of Lynchburg, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and is a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Phi. During his doctoral training, PA Amin focused on the epigenetic mechanisms affecting mental health conditions. His thesis explored the potential of mindfulness-based interventions to regulate gene expression in conditions such as ADHD to improve trans-generational health. The practice Total Integration Health and Wellness provides affordable, specialized psychiatric care to Individuals in New Jersey. The Practice offers mindful psychiatric care to children aged 5+, adolescents, and adults. We are proud and happy to serve individuals from all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ communities and those with diverse, spiritual, religious, and secular beliefs.

**Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances** I am here to serve your needs on your journey to improved mental and overall well being. The care I provide is non-judgmental, delivered with an open heart an open mind. Regardless of who you decide to see for your care needs, you must know that you exist because you are loved.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the initial visit we take a complete and thorough medical history, covering any previous psychiatric diagnoses and current ones. We discuss current and past symptoms and evaluate all previous and current medications. Upon agreeing upon the correct medications for you, we discussed mindfulness based interventions to supplement your medication management. Future visits will expand upon what we discussed during the initial eval and any new concerns.
