About Dr. Kwan Park
Dr. Kwan “Kevin” J. Park is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon in Houston. He specializes in hip and knee joint replacement surgeries, failed joint replacement surgeries, and hip preservation surgeries.
Dr. Park strives to provide his patients with the highest quality and evidence-based care to assist them in returning to active lifestyles. His primary focus is in patient education about both non-surgical and surgical treatment options, rapid recovery after total joint replacement, and minimizing surgical complications.
He majored in Biochemistry (B.S.) and in Chemistry (B.A.) at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his Medical Doctorate (MD) with high honors at the Texas A&M Health Science Center in Bryan, Texas. He completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Dr. Park then received additional fellowship training in adult joint reconstruction surgery at Houston Methodist Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and completed M.E. Muller Foundation Hip Society Fellowship in Europe at multiple centers (Germany, United Kingdom, and Switzerland).

I did not feel like Dr Park really cared about my situation. He spent less than 10 minutes with me and I left without any instructions on how to treat my knee injury over the weekend except to get a knee brace, take aspirin, and get an MRI. To make matters worse, he didn't tell me he was taking vacation this week and wouldn't get back to me about my MRI results for 13 days. I literally cried when the office called to make an appointment for Sept 4th. It's completely wrong to leave a patient with an acute injury hanging like that. That's 13 days of not doing anything to take care of the injury. This was a terrible experience for me, and I will not be back to see Dr Park.
Thankfully, I found a new provider who could see me yesterday and am now on a care plan.
