Palatucci Prize for excellence in both academics and the humanities. Dr. McCormick completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where in her chief year she was awarded the Harrison McLaughlin, MD, Resident Award for Excellence in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery. She then completed fellowship training in advanced primary and revision hip and knee reconstruction at NYU Langone Health. While at NYU, she received specialized training in robotic-assisted joint replacement and complex reconstruction techniques. Dr. McCormick's research focuses on optimal management of periprosthetic joint infection, quality improvement and patient optimization, and the use of robotics to improve patient outcomes. She has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, textbook chapters, editorials, and national and international scientific presentations.
