I am an authentic and down-to-earth Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 24 years of experience in mental health. I also have 20 years of experience working in mental health in a correctional setting. My passion for promoting mental health and decreasing the stigma, as well as my extensive background in treating the whole person, has played a role in my ability to achieve greater mental health outcomes.
In addition to medication management, physical health, and nutrition, my primary treatment goals are aimed at allowing individuals to reach their greatest level of functioning.

I had a telehealth appointment with Lakeisha PMHNP, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the very beginning, she made me feel heard, respected, and understood. She took the time to thoroughly listen to my concerns, ask thoughtful questions, and explain everything clearly. Her compassionate, patient-centered approach made a big difference in how comfortable I felt discussing my mental health.
What stood out most was her professionalism combined with genuine empathy. She didn’t rush through the session and provided clear guidance on treatment options, while also making sure I felt involved in every decision.
