What should a new client know about working with you?

I aim to provide thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care with a focus on safe and effective medication management. My approach is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I take a direct, professional, and compassionate approach. You’ll get honest feedback and realistic expectations, without pressure or judgment.I don’t rush decisions, and wIll never push medication as the only solution I value: Listening first. Your story matters. Education. We make sure you understand your options. Partnership. We make decisions with you, not for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Initial Psychiatric Evaluation (60 minutes) Your first appointment focuses on getting the full picture of your mental health. This includes: Reviewing your symptoms – what you’re currently experiencing and how it’s affecting your life Discussing your mental health history – including any prior diagnoses, treatments, hospitalizations, or medications Exploring medical history – to ensure safety and rule out physical causes of symptoms Understanding your lifestyle, stressors, and support system From there, we’ll talk through possible diagnoses and treatment options. If medication is appropriate, we’ll explain the reasoning, go over benefits and risks, and answer your questions. No decision is made without your input. Note: We do not always prescribe medication during the first visit. Sometimes additional information or lab work is needed.
