What should a new client know about working with you?

Our process begins with listening—deeply and without judgment. In our first session, we focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship by getting to know who you are, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from our time together. We ask thoughtful questions, provide space for your story, and work collaboratively with you to establish goals that are meaningful, realistic, and tailored to your needs. The first few sessions are designed to help us understand your current challenges, personal history, strengths, and support systems. We conduct a comprehensive assessment—not just to gather information, but to ensure that the therapeutic process is personalized, respectful, and culturally responsive. If you're coming to therapy for a specific reason such as trauma, military transition, or legal system involvement, we explore those areas with care and structure. As therapy progresses, we integrate evidence-based approaches including trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and strengths-based interventions. For clients navigating anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, or trauma, we provide both emotional insight and practical tools to support meaningful change in daily life. For those involved in the legal system or seeking forensic evaluations, we guide you through each step with professionalism, transparency, and ethical care. For military families, veterans, or active-duty service members, we offer culturally informed support for issues such as deployment stress, medical retirement, grief, and family reintegration. Each session builds on the last, with a focus on creating insight, emotional balance, and empowerment. We believe in checking in regularly to ensure we are aligned with your goals and that you feel heard and supported. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it should always feel safe, collaborative, and purposeful. Whether you're just beginning your healing journey or returning to therapy after time away, we are here

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your journey begins with a consultation with our intake coordinator who ensures you are matched with a therapist that fits your specific needs. Before your first appointment, we utilize the BluePrint tool for an initial assessment to gauge your mental health and customize your treatment plan. This tool is also used periodically to objectively monitor your progress and adjust treatments as necessary. Your therapy sessions will be held weekly for the first 4-6 weeks, each lasting 60 minutes, allowing us to establish a foundational therapeutic relationship and address immediate concerns. By the fourth session, we develop a comprehensive treatment plan with set goals tailored to your personal growth and needs. As initial goals are met, new objectives are formulated to continue your development, with the frequency of sessions adjusted based on your ongoing progress. This dynamic approach ensures continuous support and adaptation to your evolving needs, guiding you effectively towards building the life you desire.
