About Dr. Larissa Rolim

Dr. Rolim was born in Brazil and grew up in South Florida . She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Florida International University. She studied at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, where she received both Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine and Master's in Biomedical Sciences degrees. Having excelled in the clinical performance, she was recognized with the excellence in Clinical Science award for her graduating class. She completed her postgraduate training at South Miami Hospital an affiliate of the Baptist Cardiovascular Institute, in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery.She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and currently serves as a peer editor for the Foot and Ankle Online Journal. She has volunteered for the Yucatan Crippled Children's Project in Merida, Mexico treating children with complex structural deformities of the foot and ankle.She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and French. She is a classically trained Violinist and Soprano. She is married and in her free time she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, running, playing her violin and riding her motorcycle.

Dr. Rolim talked to me ahead of my appointment and personally walked me through my new insurance, its coverage and what I could expect to pay out of pocket. During my appointment she was thorough and explained everything in detail for my recovery. She knows her stuff!
