About Latoya Cherry

LaToya Cherry is an Autonomous Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Florida. She is double certified nationally as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and a Family Nurse Practitioner. LaToya graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2006 and earned her first Master's Degree in 2010. She also holds a Master's in Family Health Nursing from Florida Atlantic University. In 2010, she began her career as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner in the Medical, Surgical, and Cardiovascular ICU acute care setting. She also rounds in local hospitals and nursing homes, specializing in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary Medicine. Her goal is to continue raising health awareness and providing education in the community through her work in primary care. During the pandemic, LaToya founded CNP, starting with Mobile IV hydration services by going to people's homes to provide highly efficient vitamin and antioxidant IV therapies. With 14 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, LaToya has taken the initiative to uplift and educate the community by empowering individuals with the tools they need to live healthier lives. Throughout her career, she has led healthcare educational initiatives to train other healthcare workers on the care and management of Diabetes, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Hyponatremia, and Sepsis in the acute care setting. LaToya acknowledges that her patients know themselves best. Patient empowerment is her primary objective. She encourages open provider-patient communication and wants her patients to know that their needs are heard.
