Laura Dienes-Oehm, RDN is a graduate of The University of Alabama with 32 years of experience as a dietician. She has worked in the areas of telemedicine, outpatient counseling, private practice, clinical nutrition, management, rehabilitation, substance abuse and community nutrition. Her first love is nutrition counseling since it affords her the opportunity to build rapport and trust with her clients while witnessing the change process taking place. She has a passion for guiding clients through lifestyle changes by utilizing motivational interviewing techniques. Laura believes that each person must search for their internal motivation to change. Once discovered, then the change becomes much easier to accomplish. As the journey to change begins, Laura encourages clients to incorporate more whole foods into their diets in order to heal their bodies and minds.
