About Laura Hafez
Laura Hafez is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Nutrition from Arizona State University in 2014 and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arizona in 2017. Not settling for the typical level of education for practicing nurses, Laura decided to continue her education and pursue the Family Nurse Practitioner role to provide better care. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Post-Master's Certificate in Family Nursing in 2019. Laura is a current member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, as well as Sigma Theta Tau.
Laura believes in the promotion of health and well-being, alongside patient education to achieve the best outcomes. She values education and research and applies this to her patient base, ensuring her treatment protocols are truly the latest, most effective, and proven remedies available. Laura is passionate about applying preventative medicine to her patient population, reducing the incidence of disease both in the short term and later in life.
A message from Laura?
The world of nursing is by far the most rewarding career path. It enables the practitioner to heal, treat, and better understand the world around them. Being a nurse practitioner puts one on the front lines to change a patient's life, one person at a time. My education, as well as personal experiences, have shown me how important nursing is to the well-being of communities. Having the ability to positively affect each life that one comes in contact with has inspired me to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.
I am a valley native and loved my childhood growing up in Tempe, Arizona. When not working, I treasure spending time with my husband and two children. It's a busy life, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love to travel, hike, snowboard, and sightsee.

Laura is probably one of my favorite doctors I have seen. She was so sweet and actually listened to my concerns and spent time getting to know me. Scheduling an appointment was super easy online. The front office had figured out my insurance coverage before I even got there too! Everyone was so kind. The office was beautiful and clean. Absolutely wonderful place!!

The Dr was really nice and professional; as was every one else I interacted with. My only complaint would be having to go into the office via a follow up appointment to go over my test/lab results. I feel like unless the results have something to discuss, it’s a waste of my time to go into the office just to be told I’m fine. A follow up isn’t warranted unless there’s something to actually go over.

I got there early to fill out some paperwork and was seen right away. The receptionist said it was never a madhouse which is nice. Very clear communication throughout the whole process and friendly staff, 10/10.

I’m not trying to be THAT person that complains but the relationship aspects of doctors & patients is a thing of the past. Staff was nice the place was clean and they were timely! It just was not the experience I hoped for to meet the doctor and establish care for my little one. Pitch hitter for NP came in… Friendly, but wasn’t (listening) to me. In fact I said “no, that’s not for me” and she kept talking right over me. NP came to introduce herself and said the exact thing regarding what to watch for after vaccines with a friendly hello but no desire to MEET her patient. We were just another number and after my littles quick appointment I walked out feeling disappointed in our care system.

Very clean office. I was seen in a timely way. Laura is quick to get things done. The office has a lab which was a nice surprise. I came from Minnesota and water is available e.g. fountains, stand alone water machine. I was surprised that drinking water is not obviously available.

I was very happy with Canyon Family Medicine. Laura Hafez was wonderful. She performed a telehealth visit for a prescription refill. She was very conscientious that I needed an important prescription refilled as soon as possible. She was very kind to continue to follow up with me from messages she received from the pharmacy where this pending prescription was getting filled at. I had an insurance issue before I even knew I had an issue. She continued to follow up with me until my RX was filled. I really appreciated her going above and beyond. I would certainly recommend her and am very glad she has started her own brick-and-mortar practice as well.

I had an excellent appointment today! I had no wait time, the check-in process was seamless and quick. I met with Laura the provider, she was compassionate and took care of my needs. I made an appointment for my husband in less than thirty minutes! They are very friendly, professional and skilled!

I had an outstanding walk-in experience at this clinic. The staff was great and extremely friendly. I did not sit in the waiting room long before I was taken back to see Laura. She was amazing!!! She really took the time to truly listen to my problems, she reviewed everything and explained it to me perfectly. Laura is now going to be the health provider for my daughter, granddaughter, and I. Amazing place!! Thank you guys, and Bless all!
