About Dr. Lauren Boshnick
Dr. Boshnick is committed to providing the highest-quality medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care possible to her patients. She has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. She is passionate about cosmetic dermatology, particularly anti-aging treatments, which can help prevent or reverse the visible effects of aging caused by internal and external factors (such as sun exposure) and help restore the skin to a healthier, more vibrant state.
Dr. Boshnick earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada where she graduated with honors in Biology. She received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean where she graduated salutatorian. She achieved United States Medical Examination scores above the 99th percentile and went on to pursue specialized training in dermatology at top medical centers around the world before residency including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Mt. Sinai, and Oxford.
She completed her dermatology residency at Florida State University where she was appointed as chief resident.
After training, she worked in Florida while her husband completed training in pediatric neurology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. In Florida, Dr. Boshnick worked at a robust private practice. There, she performed complex skin cancer surgeries and provided cosmetic dermatology services including Botox, filler and laser treatments which she enjoyed.
She is a member of the AAD and remains up to date with the latest advancements in skin care.
Dr. Boshnick shares the same passion as Dr. Khanna to provide patients in the local community with the highest quality care.
She is excited to join the community of the Northwest Suburbs where her husband grew up and his family resides. She enjoys yoga, golf, pickle ball and following her favorite sports teams including Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs!

Very small waiting room. Felt like we were all bunched together in a small space. Was taken to the room after about 20 minutes but did not see the Doctor for another 15 minutes.The doctor came in and apologized for the delay stating they had an office emergency earlier. I understood the delay and was happy she acknowledged it. The nurse thought I was there for acne. I was there for a consult. Nurse was nice and Doctor was also. I did not have enough time to address all my dermatology issues but that was okay. The doctor felt there were 3 spots that needed treatment. One to biopsy and 2 to freeze initially. I will return in a month and if they still need treatment, I will have it done then. I did not want to have my records transferred at this time. I’d prefer to wait a while before I do that.

I may go back 1 more time for my fallow up, but might cancel it. The doctor talked so fast I mostly have no idea what she said. She also didn't bother to ask if I had any questions before running out the door to the next patient leaving me with a min with nurse before being wisked out. I didn't even have time to put my sweater back on. Also the pharmacy only got half of my prescription.

Doctor rushed the appointment and couldn't be bothered to answer/address my questions and didn't consider my situation important. Her final response was to just say live with it and give samples for topicals they sell, instead of discussing prescription medicine options that could help.

Doctor was 10 mins late, called the office was told I was next. Fine. Waited another 35 minutes and nothing. Had to hang up without seeing the doctor. I booked a video visit because I did not want to waste time and that’s all I got. I wonder how happy they would be waiting 45 minutes for a patient.

I am so glad I was able to get an appointment so quickly via Zocdoc, but I was slightly disappointed with the amount time I had to wait to see the doctor. As far as the appointment went, Dr. Boshnick was extremely personable and thorough with the exam, and she gave great skincare advice. I just had a few more questions and felt a bit rushed. I sent the questions I felt I didn't have time to ask to the staff, and am currently awaiting answers. The office itself was gorgeous and the location was convenient for me.

I’ve heard great things about Dr. Boshnick and she seems kind. Unfortunately I felt rushed through my appointment and my questions did not seem to be considered at the level I would want. It is disappointing to pay hundreds for an appointment and feel like you’re getting rushed out. My appointment lasted all of 10min. Otherwise the office was clean and they took me on time.

Everything from the moment I arrived was great. Front desk, PA with triage and doctor Boshnick was very personable, listened to my history and issue for my visit. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns. She came up with a treatment plan and assured me that I could follow up if treatment wasn't working over two weeks time and I was told to follow up in 3 weeks. Based on my initial experience, I would highly recommend Dr. Boshnick.
