***This provider charges for any booked appointment that has not been canceled within 24 hours.*** I offer therapy both in-person in a chic Chicago office and online via Zoom for clients in Illinois and Florida. I'm available weekdays, from midday to evenings. I hold a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Florida and am trained as a marriage and family therapist, though I also work with individuals. Essentially, I focus on relationships and how they impact us at every level.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have done quite a bit of my own personal therapy and use that to guide the way that I conduct any therapy session - I greatly admire the strength and vulnerability of being on the client side of the therapy room, and do my best to be collaborative, supportive, and yet still challenging when I believe it best serves my clients. I am always open to questions and feedback, and love to learn, so exploring new techniques and parts of the field is part of therapy that I love as well!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial session is what I refer to as the "information gathering" session; beyond that, as previously mentioned, I really focus on collaboration, from the goal setting process, to what we focus on in particular sessions. Even when I have an idea of what might be helpful to focus on in session, if there's something that you're really wanting to zero in on that day, that takes precedence! I may be the one with the mental health specific knowledge, but YOU are the expert on you and what's going to resonate best.
