About Lauren Cheifetz
Lauren Cheifetz, MSPAS, PA-C is an NCCPA board-certified and New York State licensed Physician Assistant, specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Physician Assistant Program where she completed her clinical training at various private practices and academic hospitals across NYC and Pennsylvania. Prior to receiving her master’s degree in physician assistant studies, Lauren graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Lauren has valuable experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of both pediatric and adult dermatologic conditions. She is skilled at treating acne and rashes, screening for skin cancer, collecting biopsies, and performing many in-office cosmetic procedures. Lauren creates a friendly and relaxed environment for her patients through her warm demeanor, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach. Lauren uses her comprehensive knowledge of dermatology to help her patients feel confident in their own skin. In her free time, Lauren enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and family.

I really loved seeing Lauren Cheifetz. She was knowledgeable, caring, present and dedicated. My appointment with her was just to get a second opinion on something but I had such a good experience that I'm now seeing her as my primary provider.

I saw Lauren Cheifetz, PA for a skin rash. I was able to get an appointment as soon as I needed it and at a convenient time for me. The office was clean and modern. The front desk staff greeted me right away and checked me in. I waited about 10 minutes and then was taken into the exam room by a pleasant medical assistant who took my medical history. When she was through, Ms. Cheifetz came into the exam room quickly. She listened to my concerns and then examined the affected areas. She was able to diagnose my problem quickly and come up with a treatment plan. She took her time explaining what my condition was, how it developed and how to treat it. I never felt rushed which is very important to me. My prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy immediately. I was very pleased with my visit and will be returning in 3 weeks.

Wonderful experience! The front desk staff was friendly, patient, and professional. The office is definitely a vibe. Upon arrival you're welcomed to have a cool beverage from the cutest Smeg fridge..the music is relaxing..seating comfortable. Wait time is great! Lauren Cheifetz PA was friendly knowledgeable and gentle. Her team was super efficient! Treatment rooms are private and super clean! Best experience I've had at a medical visit in ages! Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the entire staff!

She was friendly and efficient and listened to all my concerns. She offered a treatment that gave me immediate relief and advice for what to do if the issue continued. It can be very challenging to get into a dermatologist for an immediate but nonemergency concern, so I really appreciate that I could be seen on short notice and received experienced, specialized care.
