Accepting new patients and families... I am an APRN specializing exclusively in treating children and adolescents ages 5-17 with behavioral and mental health issues. Unlike practitioners who treat all age groups, this is my sole area of expertise. I focus on ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, and other disorders first diagnosed in childhood or adolescence. I believe physical health, sleep, diet, lifestyle, and family participation are integral to mental health. I work closely with your child and family to address all aspects of care and to discuss and explore medication options. I provide medication evaluations and ongoing medication management only; I do not offer therapy. I am happy to collaborate with pediatricians, therapists, schools, and other providers involved in your child's care. In most cases, your child will need to be in therapy for me to provide treatment, but we can discuss this further. Addressing a child or adolescent's mental health needs should be a positive experience filled with hope. My goal is to work with your family as a team, providing the information you need to make informed decisions about treatment. Sometimes medications are not the answer, and this is something we will explore together. Please note that I do not accept insurance. I hold a Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Yale University, which informs my specialized approach to caring for young patients with mental health needs.
