About Dr. Lauren Mcneely

Dr. Lauren Severs is a board-certified pediatrician and Lead Physician at the Food Allergy Institute’s Vista treatment center. She sees patients throughout their TIP journey, from onboarding to remission, and plays a key role in provider training and managing complex cases. Dr. Severs earned her BS from UCLA, M.Ed. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and MD from the University of Michigan. She completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Before joining FAI in 2022, she worked as a NICU hospitalist at Magee-Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh and UC San Diego, and previously taught high school science. Drawn to FAI by its mission and life-changing results, Dr. Severs is passionate about helping patients and families feel seen, supported, and empowered to reach their treatment goals. “I enjoy coming to work and seeing the positive changes that are being made in our patients' lives every day. I love seeing patients conquer foods that previously caused them harm and hearing stories about patients being able to travel, go to camp, go to friends' houses, and go out to ice cream or pizza with no worries.”
