Getting to know Dr. Lauren Pasqua

I have wanted to be a psychologist since reading a book for teen girls during a turbulent year of middle school. Lending a sympathetic ear came naturally to me even in childhood. Hearing the struggles of my friends only increased my interest in people and relationships. As a natural peacemaker, I could often be found scolding my parents for arguing. Right after college I entered a graduate program in Atlanta and worked to get my doctorate in clinical psychology. I already knew I wanted to focus my training on children and families. My mom has always said that I’m like the “Pied Piper” when it comes to kids. They always seem to seek me out and follow me wherever I am, and the appreciation is mutual. Along the way, I found a niche in working with young children and kids with developmental issues. I am passionate about working with children and families, especially our community’s youngest members. Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are my heart and where I have focused much of my career.
