My name is Lauren Cranston Seaton, and I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I completed my advanced nursing degree at Gonzaga University and have spent more than 14 years working in mental health, including youth and adolescent inpatient care, community mental health, and correctional settings. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse and high-acuity populations, including individuals involved in the justice system and people living with severe mental illness. I’m also passionate about advocacy and have been involved in public policy efforts to help improve access to compassionate, equitable mental-health care. I treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions — including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, psychosis, and trauma-related concerns. My goal is to create a space where patients feel safe, seen, and respected. I approach care collaboratively, taking time to listen, explain options, and work alongside each person to build stability, resilience, and long-term wellness. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and traveling when I can.

I’ll work with you to understand your concerns, explain treatment options clearly, and create a plan that feels realistic and personalized. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and actively involved in your care from the very beginning.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by taking time to understand your symptoms, history, goals, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. From there, we’ll discuss treatment options together and create a personalized plan that may include medication management, education, and coordination with other members of your care team when appropriate. I believe in shared decision-making, so you’ll always have a clear understanding of the plan and an active voice in your treatment.
