She has positioned herself to care for clients and teach Advanced Practice RN students to provide the best care. Dr. Williams teaches in nursing programs at the University of South Alabama, Binghamton University, and Walden University. Dr. Williams holds three graduate certificates: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate from the University of Southern Mississippi; Geriatric Nurse Practitioner graduate certificate from the University of South Alabama; and Adult Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate from the University of Massachusetts. She is board certified as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Having practiced independently as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner for over 10 years, Dr. Williams offers direct care services including health promotion, illness prevention, and rehabilitation in various settings. She provides a range of treatment modalities, including holistic treatment options and medication management.
