I am a Board-Certified Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with over 23 years of nursing experience, including service in the U.S. Army Reserves. A North Carolina native, I earned my BSN and MSN from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, an Adult-Gero Nurse Practitioner degree from Post University, and a Doctorate from Western Carolina University.
My approach to patient care is holistic and culturally responsive, emphasizing mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. I advocate for lifestyle modifications, including balanced nutrition, regular exercise, stress management, and adequate rest, as essential components of overall health and wellness.

Dr. Lewis is an outstanding medical provider. I was a new patient and she took such great care of me. She was thorough and an excellent listener. She provided clear explanations and developed a treatment plan just for me. I feel as if my concerns were taken seriously. The office staff is professional and the wait times were minimal. I am so grateful to have found such a skilled and caring medical practitioner. Highly recommended!

Dr. Lawanis was very warm and welcoming. I connected with her immediately. She actively listened to all my concerns and worked on finding solutions. She thoroughly went through past my past medical history. She had an understanding on what my goals are and provided guidance, which was definitely a plus.
