I believe that resilience grows in the context of relationships, and that collaboration and a strong therapeutic relationship are the keys to enacting change. Psychotherapy is about developing curiosity and building insight into patterns that bring about challenges in day-to-day life. I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as cognitive-behavioral approaches such as Modular Approaches to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct (MATCH-ADTC) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In other words, I work from a developmental and integrative lens. I consider how one's early life, family, and culture shape identity and the ways we relate to others, while integrating coping skills and techniques to help address emotional challenges in the present moment. I tailor each person's treatment to their individual needs by collaboratively setting goals and identifying strengths. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University through the Stanford PsyD Consortium. I completed my internship at the University of California, San Francisco, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and a fellowship at Mount Sinai Saint Luke's Parent Infant Center. I hold a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University. Every challenge also presents a new life juncture. I hope to provide an inclusive, non-judgmental, and empathic environment where I can guide you to approach these new life junctures with self-compassion and hope.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an LBGTQI+ affirming and inclusive therapist with speciality experience treating perinatal and postpartum mothers, parent-infant dyads, children, and adolescents with a range of presenting concerns, including: emotion regulation challenges, issues with attachment, trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal and relationship issues, life transitions, family conflict, and parenting challenges.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Goodness of fit is the key to building a strong therapeutic alliance and relationship. During the first appointment I leave the space open to hear about the most important issues you or your child is currently experiencing. The second appointment is a more structured intake session where I gather clinical history.
