About Leanet Santiago
Leanet Santiago, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and proud Southwest Florida resident who brings a strong foundation in dermatologic care and a deep commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based medicine. She holds a doctorate in nursing practice from Florida Gulf Coast University, where her clinical research explored the integration of depression screening in patients with inflammatory skin disorders—an initiative that reflects her holistic approach to skin health and wellness.
Her experience in dermatology spans nearly a decade, beginning in 2016 as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. During this time, she gained extensive hands-on experience assisting with surgical excisions, punch and shave biopsies, ED&C procedures, cryotherapy, blue light therapy, and comprehensive wound care. This early exposure not only sharpened her technical expertise but also sparked her long-standing passion for the specialty.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Leanet is committed to providing culturally competent care and fostering inclusive clinical environments where patients feel heard, valued, and empowered.
