What is your typical process for working with clients?
Your first visit is an unhurried, comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We will talk through what brought you in, your symptoms, history, and goals for care. Because many conditions share overlapping symptoms, I assess carefully rather than rushing to a diagnosis, then we build a personalized plan together.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, my focus is diagnosis and medication management. When medication is right for you, I start at the lowest effective dose and adjust gradually while closely monitoring how you feel. I always explain the benefits, side effects, and alternatives so you can make informed decisions.
While I do not provide long-form talk therapy, every visit includes supportive, patient-centered conversation, and with your consent I collaborate with your therapist and other providers. Follow-ups are focused check-ins to review progress and fine-tune your plan. Throughout, my goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported.
