Lenny is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He earned his Master?s in Nursing from Monmouth University and holds a Bachelor?s degree from City University of New York, Hunter College. Throughout his career, Lenny has worked with adolescents and adults in various clinical settings, including outpatient mental health clinics and community health centers. He is also fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
Lenny?s diverse clinical experience has equipped him with the skills to manage a wide range of mental health disorders, including ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and mood disorders.
He believes in a holistic approach to mental health care that addresses not only the physical symptoms but also the emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting his patients. Lenny is known for his empathetic and patient-centered approach to care, always taking the time to understand his patients? unique needs and concerns.
In addition to his clinical work, Lenny is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends workshops and conferences to stay updated with the latest advancements in psychiatric nursing.

Our treatment philosophy involves operating from a biopsychosocial framework to implement the most comprehensive treatment plan for each patient.
We believe psychopharmacological interventions are an important part of a treatment plan, but are most efficacious in conjunction with other non-pharmacological interventions such as psychodynamic or cognitive behavioral psychotherapy as well as integrative medicine.
Our services include consultation, genetic testing, and medication management for a variety of conditions..all with an integrative approach. We work very closely with a number of therapists, within and outside of our practice, who we can refer to if therapy is essential to your treatment.

The guy actually laughed at the issue that sent me to him in the first place. He even made a joke referencing his wife having the same issue. If he only knew how much courage it took to open up about it in the first place, I doubt he’d joke about it. I ended the session feeling embarrassed and so sorry that I even bothered.

Mr. Gets is such a kind, welcoming person to talk to. I was really nervous at first since I'd never received any type of mental health before, but Mr. Gets made things easy, quick, and comfortable. He doesn't push for you to take medicine but is open to discussing it and will help you and listen to you if/when medicinal help is required. He's also very funny and treats you less like a client, but rather like a familiar friend talking about your day/issues. He's also very easy to access at random times if need be (thanks Mr. Gets!!), and if there are any issues he sees to it quickly. He's also great at letting you pick your own pace alongside his guidance. I would 100% recommend Mr. Gets to anyone looking for a little extra mental health help!

The appointment was everything you expect to have in person with a behavioral provider by conveniently over the phone. I felt listened to and that I was getting my point across for which I made the appointment. My provider was excellent and listened to me prior to prescribing medicine. I highly recommend Zocdoc.
