Psychologist

Modern life presents a number of challenges for adults and families. It can be difficult to balance all of the conflicting demands, especially if we are also trying to care for others or carrying the weight of past traumas or other unresolved issues. This can lead to increasing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and anger, and can interfere with the relationships we value and need. None of us are perfect, but we all deserve the chance to live a life consistent with our values and goals. Change is hard. But so is staying the same when you are suffering. Often, we get stuck focusing on the roadblocks to change. I view my job as helping my clients sort through all of those pieces to clarify the path they want to take and the life they want to live. Only you can define what you want, but I will use all of my skills to help you get there. I hold a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School, as well as a Certificate in Introduction to Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Notre Dame. These experiences have equipped me with a broad understanding of psychological principles and leadership skills that enhance my approach to therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer psychological evaluation services as well as therapy services. I utilize cutting-edge tools, research, and treatment models to help my clients gain a better understanding of their problems and how to achieve their goals. For therapy clients, I strive to help my clients live a life consistent with those goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

All clients start with a thorough clinical interview over one to two appointments. This is a chance for me to understand you and your journey. For testing, we will administer direct measures in the office or remotely on a separate day. This can often take a full day (such as 9am-3pm). We also identify any other treatment providers or people in your life who can provide information related to the assessment, which we collect via questionnaires. We typically schedule a feedback session approximately two weeks later to discuss the results. You will receive a summary of the results at that time and will usually receive a more detailed report of the assessment in another two weeks. For therapy clients, I offer services both in the office and via telehealth. We will determine a good frequency for sessions, such as weekly or every other week.
