Getting to know Letitia Sam
I obtained an MSN and am working on my DNP from Colorado State University-Pueblo. I have been licensed as a psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2021. I also have an MSN-Ed from Colorado State University-Pueblo. For ten years, I worked at mental health facilities, including jails, state hospitals, outpatient inpatient, telepsychiatry, and private practice.
I have patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, Panic Disorders, and OCD. We discuss options and likely side effects before I prescribe the medications. I endeavor to follow up with patients in two weeks to discuss any possible side effects from their medications. After a month, use of medication labs are ordered to make sure they are in the normal range.
I am married with four sons, and I understand all family dynamics. I respect patient privacy and choices. I spend time to talk with my patients and have psychotherapy with them. This job is my passion and I enjoy helping people.

CAUTION! This individuals does not respond in a reasonable time. They have made excuses on why... They were too busy with school and their life. Letitia placed me in a negative position due to lack of response. When I called them, they said, "I don't have time for this, I'm in a meeting". There were kids crying and screaming in the background. Be honest. I came to her for care as a patient, not her friend or family member to know her personal business. Be wary of her!

Very kind and listened a little. I just wish that they would have read my history prior to the meeting. Asked questions that were on the intake form. With out reading my information. Telling me to "Calm down". If in psychology/psychiatric industry remember what words to use and not to.

Dr. Sam is AWESOME!!!! She is truly down to earth and understanding. She's a great listener as she prioritizes what you have to say. I've had a couple of good providers, but I've also had some that shouldn't be ones, but I can say out of all of them, Dr. Sam is the best I've ever had! She truly has a passion for her profession and actually wants to help people and not just push some kind of pill(s) on you.

Appointment was scheduled from 2-3pm. Called countless times and didnt hear anything back until about 2:55 pm. Missed her call so she text me "I called you back (one time, by the way), but no answer. Feel free to reschedule"

Um... She missed my first original appointment due to not having my correct phone number, or something? I kept repeatedly calling her office though 15 minutes after the supposed start time to ensure there was something I was supposed to do, and she picked up at around the fifth call, but by then it was far too late for anything. She offered to reschedule, and I gave her a time that I could do after I got off work, and she agreed to it. However, she didn't get in contact with me again.. Personal advice to those considering her, no offense to her of course, but if you're heavily mentally unwell such as myself, skip over this option. It only makes any personal panic worse, and it pushes out the soonest you can get medication refills (which I NEEDED.)

To you, Ms Sam, I did have high hopes for you. I really did wish I could have been able to have someone of similar race to me to help relate to my problems, but I'll have to look elsewhere. I need punctuality.

I was having severe anxiety prior to the appointment. I was experiencing difficulties connected through the link. To my shock right away, my psychiatrist called me via cell phone directly three or four times to try and troubleshoot. Ultimately we did the appointment via phone call and honestly I was able to talk more freely. Thank you for such a good experience.

I am very disappointed with this appointment. The NP gave confusing and inaccurate information. The NP was late to arrive, felt rushed, was distracted by phone calls, and did not seem to be listening. The NP also did not read/recall the contents of my extensive intake form inputed into their own portal which meant that she did not know my health history, previous diagnoses, or medication allergies which was all relevant to the appointment. Rather than listening, I was simply told I was "ok" despite sharing my struggles. It did not have a comforting effect, but rather a dismissive one. I heard blatantly inaccurate (and hurtful) information on conditions discussed as well as NP's personal biases regarding the condition and issues I went in for that left me feeling dismissed overall or that my concerns were not valid. I went for support and left feeling worse off.

I highly recommend Letitia for a great personable experience. She’s very knowledgeable about her profession and unlike most other doctors I’ve tried to book an appointment with on Zocdoc she didn’t slam the door in my face before speaking with me. The world needs more people like her

Absolutely love her! She was so kind and helpful and really listened to what I had to say. She was aware of my hesitations and really provided thought out answers and explanations to ease my worries. The appointment didn’t feel so stiff (like at some other places) because at some points we were laughing together which also made me feel more comfortable and relaxed around her.
